Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF)

Nicole sits on the Board of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF).

It has three main programs:

  • Books Supply: ILF gifts culturally relevant books to Indigenous schools and organisations in over 500 remote Indigenous communities.

  • Book Buzz: ILF gifts board books and other literary resources to playgroups in remote Indigenous Communities to encourage literacy in under-fives

  • Community Publishing: ILF supports Indigenous Communities in writing and illustrating books telling their own stories in their own languages. ILF publishes the books and gifts them back to the Community. Some are available for sale in several bookshops and from their online shop.

Sydney Women’s Fund (SWF)

Nicole sits on the Advisory Council of the Sydney Women’s Fund (SWF).

SWF is dedicated to:

  • empowering women and families in need in the greater Sydney area and

  • increasing gender equity and opportunity.

SWF funds grassroots organisations which provide programs for women in three areas:

  • Education and employment

  • Safety and crisis

  • Inclusion and wellbeing
